The idea is for you to show up, find a script (or bring some scripts with you), make your  choices, get behind the mic and be directed as if it were a real audition.  2 takes and then the next person is up.  We will try to get through as many scripts as time allows.

It's basically a Thursday Night VO Workout Group directed by Marissa, but we've decided to spice things up and now you can bring YOUR ACTUAL auditions to record, send and hopefully, BOOK! 

And what's a "Book Club" without a little WINE?!?!?!
We will supply the first bottle of 2 buck chuck and anything above that you can bring yourself to share with the group for the first night or future nights down the road. 
It's BYOA&W! (Bring Your Own Auditions & Wine!)

If you don't have any auditions to bring that night, who cares!  Just come join us for a regular old VO workout and a little bit of VINO! 

Come have a good time, drink a little wine and record your auditions with The Doc in "The Vault"!

I started out taking the "Get To Know Me" class because everyone I know was telling me to go to him. Loved the guy and the method, so I got in on the commercial class and booked a national TV spot about a month later. Since Bill worked so well to get me sounding good, I did a new commercial demo with him and took part in a few margarita nights and also started working with Marissa Holmes in the Sunday Workout Group. Thanks to the classes, the demo, the workout group and things I learned from Bill and Marissa, I just signed with Vox, Inc as my voice over agent.

The man took my acting and career to another level, and you can't put a price on that. Now I tell everyone to see Bill, because I know for a fact he'll make your shit good.

Laura Hall, (Musical Director, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", The Second City) and her husband, Rick Hall, (actor, musician, "Curb Your Enthusiasm", The Second City) present a one evening intensive Music Improv Workshop at Actors Improv Studio!
Have you ever wanted to try improvising songs like the people on Whose Line is it Anyway? Rick & Laura Hall's Music Improv Workshop will teach you how. Even if you've never done song improv before, or can't sing, this fun, lively workshop is perfect for you. If you are a singer or experienced with song improv, they'll stretch your skills and bring you to the next level.

Rick and Laura create a supportive, fun environment where you will grow, explore and move out of your comfort zone, starting with warmups and games to help ease into singing. You'll build vocal confidence while learning to listen to each other and the accompaniment. Before you know it, you'll be belting out your own great improvised songs!
