Mini VO Workshop
We're very happy to have Robbie Rist for our inaugural workshop. Robbie has been a working voice actor for more than 40 years. He is currently on Doc McStuffin's and has voice hundreds of other cartoons and movies including "Michaelangelo" from the live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He has appeared on hundreds of TV shows as well and is best known for his roll as "Cousin Oliver" on The Brady Bunch. For more credits just check him out onIMDB.com.
Mini VO Workshop
Hosted by Bill Holmes, The Voiceover Doctor, these workshops will be run very similar to the Audition Workout Classes he teaches on Wednesday nights. The twist is The Doctor will have guest directors come in and run the workshops sharing their particular brand or approach to the subject matter at hand.
The class will be run like this. The first night our guest director will field a couple of questions. After that, the students will have a pile of scripts that they can go through (or you can bring in your own scripts as well). Some of the guest directors may be bringing in their own materials. The idea is to find a script, work on it in the lobby and then get behind the mic and have at it. You will be directed by some of the best actors and directors in the business.
These Mini VO Workshops will cover all aspects of the VO biz, from animation to promo to commercials and whatever else we can muster up!! This is a great opportunity to hone your craft and take advantage of these folks to help you find your voice for a demo you might be working on or fine the development of some animation characters you've been working on or just meet some casting folks or VO coaches that you might want to work with in the future.
Whatever the reason, you'll be a better actor after having taken the workshop. The classes are limited to 8 people to ensure you get enough time behind the mic. The cost for the Mini VO Workshop is $250 payable in advance to hold a spot. No refunds will be available for missing a class unless you can find someone to take your place.
